Kia ora!My name is Maura Stewart, and I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Amesbury community for the rest of 2024! I grew up in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Wellington when I was fourteen years old. I have absolutely loved my time here and am proud to call Aotearoa my home.I completed my studies at Wellington Girls' College and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary School Teaching from Victoria University of Wellington. During this time, I worked at an ECE centre in Newtown and an after-school care program in Khandallah.When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our two cats. We love watching movies together and exploring new films. I also get to travel back to the States during some school holidays to visit my family! I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and becoming an active part of the Amesbury community. Please feel free to come up and say hi—I can’t wait to get to know you all!
