Camp Details (Week 7)

Have you gathered together all of the gear lists that your tamariki need for their various camps this coming week? Everything that they need to take is listed in the links below as well as all the details for the week. Please read the appropriate link carefully:

Pōhutukawa trip to Carter Observatory

During Week 8 our Pōhutukawa ākonga (students) will be visiting the Carter Observatory (to support their inquiry learning around our solar system and beyond), the Botanic Gardens and the Cable car Museum.

We are also looking for parent volunteers to come along on the trip and support us. If you are able to help, please let Urs know by Wednesday (27th Nov) - urs@amesbury.school.nz.

Please read the notification carefully as the visits will be spread over three days.

Touch Rugby - Play in Term 1 2025 - Register now

While it may seem a long way away, Rupert is trying to gets the teams as sorted as possible before the end of this school year because Registrations close at the end of the short first week of Term 1 next year with the competition starting soon after.

School Library Closing for the Year

The School Library will be closed by the end of Week 8, which means that Kirat would like you to start searching high & low at home for any library books and readers, and return them to school by that time.

Share & Celebrate Week 6

We began this week's Share & Celebrate with an entertaining performance from one of our Year 6 Speech & Drama co-curricular classes with their offbeat take of "The Twelve Days of Christmas". This was their final public performance before they finish school at Amesbury.

This was followed by a large list of worthy recipients of this week's presentations. Please read the list of recipients here together with why they were recognised

Just a reminder that lunch orders have now finished for the year.

If you have a regular order placed please ensure that it has been cancelled.

  • 23 November in Midland Park - Kids can make Christmas crafts

  • 30 November in Glover Park - enjoy Christmas music and performances

  • 7 December - there will be circus acts and street busking under the sails at Queens Wharf

  • 14 December - be at Waitangi Park on for Santa’s arrival, to meet Santa, and for a fun range of Christmas activities
