Exciting news! The much-anticipated disco is back for Term 3 and we can't wait to boogie with you all! Get ready for an amazing time filled with music, dancing, and loads of fun.
When? Mark your calendars for Friday, 1st September – a night you won't want to miss!
Who can join? Everyone is invited to the dance floor!
Junior disco for Koru ākonga (Year 0-3) will kick off at 4:30 pm and wrap up at 5:30 pm.
Senior disco for Harakeke and Pōhutukawa ākonga will start at 6:00 pm and run until 7:15 pm.
Year 3 ākonga get to choose which disco they'd like to attend.
Entry is only $2.00, and you can easily secure your child's spot by pre-purchasing entry through Kindo (our online shop). Your tickets will need to be purchased by Wednesday, 30th August, 3pm.
Now, let's talk about the goodies you can enjoy at the disco!
We've got delicious cheese pizzas available for just $1.50 per slice (including gluten-free options). To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend pre-ordering your pizza through Kindo before 3pm on Wednesday, 30th August. We'll have a small amount of pizza available for cash purchases too, though it's better to secure your order in advance.
We also have bags of assorted lollies for $1.00, and small packets of chippies for just $1.00 per bag. Plus, we've got an exciting range of glow-in-the-dark products from 50c - $2.50, face painting, and temporary tattoos, priced at a pocket-friendly 50c each.
Both the junior and senior discos will be held in the hall. For a smooth entry, please use the main entrance at the front of the school. When it's time to pick up your children, kindly exit through the back door of the hall, near the blue sports container. For those staying onsite, we'll set up our whāre pukapuka (library) with tea and coffee for your enjoyment.
And parents, we need your support to make this event truly fantastic! We're looking for volunteers to help decorate the hall, manage the food and glow products stalls, and assist with face painting and temporary tattoos. If you can spare some time and be a part of the magic, please contact garkee@amesbury.school.nz at your earliest convenience. Let her know which disco you'd like to support us with. We'll truly appreciate your help!
