Community Consultation Session - Tuesday 5 September

We are holding a Community Consultation Session in our new Pōhutukawa Hub from 6-7.15pm on Tuesday 5 September to which we are seeking your participation and feedback into a range of matters affecting our tamariki.

For the details of what will be covered, together with other information, please read here.

Amesbury Sports this Term

Please have a read through of the details of sports being offered this term through school. With such an extensive list surely there is something for everyone.

Some sports require registrations that close off soon so don't delay.

School Inquiry Trips - Week 7

Our school inquiry trips this term will be held during Week 7: Monday 28 August - Friday 1 September. Please read the details here.

Please note that while there is more than one day allocated to each Hub, each student will only attend on one of those days. You will receive a notification of which day your child(ren) will be going.

As always, we are looking for parent help. If you are available, please contact your child(ren)'s Learning Hub Lead.

One other thing to remember is to cancel any lunches on Kindo that you may have ordered.

Disco - Friday 1 September

Our next disco is on the first day of next month.

Tickets and pizza orders are available through Kindo, with everything else available for purchase on the night with cash.

As always, help is needed to make this a great evening for our tamariki. If you can help please contact Gar Kee (garkee@amesbury.school.nz).

For all the organisational details please read here.

Onesie Day - Friday 8 September

For Onesie Day this year we will be fundraising for the Wellington Free Ambulance. Please be generous to indeed keep the free in Wellington Free Ambulance. Donations can be made by using this link. Or cash donations can be made at school on the day in the collection buckets.

There are activities planned for the day and you can read all about it here to make the most of the Onesie Day experience.

Koru Camp Notice

Koru Hub will be having their annual camp from Mon 27 Nov-Fri 1 Dec.

An outline of the programme and preliminary information is contained within the Sonali's Koru Camp Notice. However, apart from including the dates on your calendars, the important thing to do now is to please complete the camp consent form by Friday 1 September.

School Organisation for 2024

Next year we will reducing to two hubs rather than the three that we have at present.

If you wish to find out how this will be organised please read Urs's article.

Request for pizza helpers - Please

On average we have about 100 slices of pizza ordered for each hub every Thursday so it's all go getting the pizza into the bags, dispatching them to the 3 hubs and disposing of the 40 or so boxes.

We have a small number of people currently helping but it would be great to have a few more so we have backup when they're unavailable, and so the same people don't need to do it every week.

Generally, the times are from 12.20pm to approximately 12.40/50pm. If you're happy for me to add you to the list to help now and again please let me/Rachel know: office@amesbury.school.nz or pop in and visit :-)
