Netball
Years 1-4 - For Beginners, these sessions will work on improving basic netball skills and help start to develop technical and tactical knowledge in accordance with the Future Ferns Programme. Children will work towards the following skills Passing, Shooting, Spatial Awareness and Defensive Skills.
Years 5-8 - These sessions will work on sharpening the basic skills - Passing and Shooting and we will start to develop a better understanding of the 7-aside game and the different positional roles. We will use fun drills and games to develop and challenge young players focusing on the key skill areas for their level of development while also have fun!!.

Wellington Libraries - Beyond the Page 2024
Beyond the Page is back for a seventh year! During the next school holidays, from 28 September – 13 October, you are invited to libraries across the Wellington region for over 120 awesome and totally FREE events for tamariki and their whānau. From interactive storytimes with Orchestra Wellington and the NZSO, workshops with award-winning authors and illustrators like Paul Beavis, Steve Mushin, and Isobel Te Aho-White, and classes on how to become a D&D Dungeon Master, through to meet-and-greets with Llamas at the Llibrary, immersive theatre experiences, and even the chance to create your own Alien Junk Monster – there’s something for everybody at this year’s festival.

School Holiday Writing and Art Workshops
For Writers:
There will be a three-day camp for children aged 9 to 14, starting Tuesday, October 1, 2024 and running until Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Additionally, there will be a one-day workshop for children aged 7 to 10 on Monday, September 30, 2024.

Thursday 10th October – Wild Words: Discover Ngā Manu’s Magic Forest Through Creative Writing
Join our children’s creative writing workshop with Cloe from EQ Storytelling. Children will explore the nature reserve, use their imagination and write magical stories inspired by native flora, fauna, and Māori legends.
