Kapa Haka Festival - Rāhoroi (Saturday) - Livestream available
The annual St. Brigid's Kapa Haka Festival will take place on Saturday (14 September) and, as always, Amesbury is sending a group who will be performing in the block commencing at 10.45am.
Please come along and support our tamariki, but you are also welcome to stay for the entire day or any other time that you wish.

Teacher Aide Position for Term 4 2024
We are seeking a caring, committed and responsive person to join our fabulous and dedicated learning team.
Fixed term for Term 4 - until 13th December - to provide some additional learning support in our junior hub.
Part time (10am-1pm five days per week) during term time only.
We are looking for someone who has:
Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with tamariki with diverse needs
A calm and friendly manner and a good sense of humour
Strong collaborative skills and able to work alongside other adults and tamariki
Ability to be professional and maintain confidentiality
Adaptability and the willingness to learn

Year 0-2 End of Year Activities
The Year 0-2 end of year camp will be held in Week 7 next term - 25-29 November.
Amaria has put together an article outlining what activities the tamariki will be involved in. Please read it here so that you know what's happening and when.
If you are available on the Monday - 25 November - and are keen to help out, please contact Amaria (amaria@amesbury.school.nz) and let her know.
Year 3 and 4 Camp
The Year 3 & 4 camp is also taking place in Week 7 of Term 4. It will take place on Thursday 28 & Friday 29 November.
It includes an overnighter on Thursday at Camp Elsdon. For any that opt out, there will be a school based programme. For all of the details please read all the details here.
Regardless of which programme you tamariki opt into please complete this consent form by Friday 27th September.
On the Consent Form, you will also be asked to indicate whether you are available to attend the camp as a parent support.
Senior Athletics at Nairnville Park
Note on your calendars Thursday 31 October. That is the date of this year's Year 4-6 athletics day which will be held at Nairnville Park in Khandallah with a start time of 10am.
Tamariki have already been working on the array of events during their PE programme and will continue to do so.

Onesie Day
What a wonderful variety of colour and outfits around the school on Friday as tamariki (children) and kaimahi (staff) participated in Onesie Day.
Most importantly, at the time of writing, over $2,100 has been raised for the Wellington Free Ambulance. So a huge 'thank you' to all who have already contributed and those that will do so. If you still wish to contribute, please do so here.
Futsal in Action this Week
We had almost 40 of our ākonga (students) participating in the annual futsal tournament this week. The most important thing is that they all had an awesome time!

Senior Swimming Sports
We held our senior swimming sports last week with both competitive and non competitive options.
