Kia ora Whanau
Unfortunately, our Noho Marae trip needs to be postponed until a later date. Sadly, someone from tangata whenua of the marae passed away last night. As per their customs, their use of the marae takes precedence over all other plans, and they are using the marae now and over the next few days for the tangi. Our condolences go out to the tangata whenu and whanau of Orongomai Marae.
We will rebook this again for sometime later and follow the same plan. However, for this week all children will come to school as normal, in their uniform and with their normal lunch each day. One of the days we will have a fun rotation day of games and physical activities at school in our noho marae groups. As it is school activities as normal, we won't be needing any parents.
Our apologies for any change of plans you now need to make. A huge thank you to those parents who were coming with us, especially those who had taken time off work.
Kind regards,
Angela and Amesbury Staff
