The students are really looking forward to sharing their learning with you through our learning expo on Thursday. All students have chosen something in their learning that they would particularly like to share with people.
We like the 'learning expo' structure because it allows people to walk around the school and see all the different kinds of learning that has happened through the term. All children are involved and we are always so impressed with the generosity of our community - people walk around and interact with lots of different children, not just their own family.
Our learning celebration will begin in the school hall at 1:45 with some students welcoming whanau and sharing their mihimihi (personal introductions) in a range of languages. We will sing several songs, present our Amesbury Awesomeness awards for Term 1 and acknowledge our award recipients in our Amesbury style. We will then move into our learning expo, with whanau walking around the school to share our learning.
The celebration will end back at the school at approx 2:40pm, giving us a little time to pack away back in our hubs, before ending for the term at 3pm.
We look forward to seeing lots of you there!
