Swimming Lessons
Just a reminder that Koru swimming lessons are underway on Thursdays.
Students need to bring togs, a towel and a swim cap, all in a named swimming bag. Goggles are also very useful, but not compulsory.
ICAS Exams 2021
If you are interested in participating in the 2021 ICAS Exams please read Urs's article for all the details.
The dates to remember are:
Year 5 & 6 End of Year Activites Week - Please fill in the Form by Friday 14 May
I know it seems early, but one of the options for this year's end of year camp for Y5 & 6 will take place in the South Island, so planning and fundraising are well underway.
All parents of Y5 & 6 students should have already been sent the initial information article. This includes general information plus a payment timeline and a request for parent help.
Please click on the link to fill in the camp permission form by Friday 14th May (end of Week 2, Term 2). We ask that all parents fill out the camp permission form, even if your child is not planning to attend the camp. This will help us with organising the Year 5 & 6 Activities Week.
Additional Friday Lunch Option - Sushi
Very exciting news ... we are trialling sushi lunch orders from Chia Sushi on Fridays this term. (We will still be offering Pita Pit).
Sushi orders are through Lunch Online (not Kindo).
See our webpage for all of our lunch options.

Aikido for Juniors
Aikido is a martial art with a difference. Its focus being on defence rather than attack: a non-violent, defensive art. Aikido is renowned for its benefits for self-control, co-ordination and posture, and like all martial arts promotes confidence and provides fun, fitness and friendship.
We are seeking more juniors students: being very Covid cautious we stopped training during last year’s restrictions, and are seeking to build up our lively classes again. We are a not-for-profit organisation teaching the art of aikido, based in Kaiwharawhara, in our 27th year.
Classes: Monday (Kids, around 6+ to 12 years) and Wednesday (Teens) 5:30pm during school terms, $80 per term. City Dojo, 132 Hutt Rd, Kaiwharawhara, Wellington, directly above Animates pet shop.
Turn up and give it a try - first 3 lessons are free. And parents, we have beginner classes at 6:30pm for you too :-). Contact Conrad at conrad@aikido.org.nz or 021 843 467, or visit www.aikido.org.nz.
