Senior Swimming Options

In order to plan for the upcoming Swimming Sports happening in the first week of Term 3, students from Y4-6 will complete a google form during week 9.

We ask for all parents and ākonga (students) to talk through the race options below. Please also discuss your child's confidence levels in the water and whether they are best suited for the main swimming pool or the teaching pool at Keith Spry, Johnsonville.

Race swim options are:

  • 2 length freestyle
  • 1 length freestyle
  • 1 length backstroke
  • 1 length breaststroke
  • 1 length butterfly
  • 1/2 length freestyle
  • 1/2 length backstroke
  • 1/2 length breaststroke

Please note that the teaching pool will also be available for developing swimmers who are more confident in a smaller, more shallow pool. Amesbury expects all students to participate unless they are injured or ill.
