What's on this week?

  • Board of Trustees Meeting - Wednesday 9 March
  • Teacher Only Day - School Closed - Friday 18 March

Teacher Only Day - Friday 18 March

While the teacher only day is not until Friday next week, resulting in the school being closed for teaching & learning, it is timely to remind you that it is coming up so that you can put in place arrangements for your child/ren's care that day.

Movin' March is Underway

Movin' March is here and there are tons of prizes, including a $400 MyRide voucher, for those who participate, and participating is super easy. Simply walk or ride to school to qualify for a passport stamp, which automatically qualifies you the prizes. And, if you live too far away, park and ride also qualifies.

Don't forget there is a photo competition too.

All these prizes for doing something that is healthy for your child and the environment. That's got to be a big win/win.

For all of the details please read Natalie's Movin' March article.

School Donations

Do you want to know what these are for and how you can claim your contribution as a tax credit? Then head to this School Donations link for all the details.

Walking School Bus

With Movin' March almost upon us this is an opportune time to revive the 'Walking School Bus'.

If you want to know a little more about it please read Natalie's notice and contact her for further information or to offer assistance (natalie@amesbury.school.nz).

Achievements Outside of School

We know that a number of students gain achievements outside of school in various activities like sport, music, and for clubs that they are members of, etc. We would, as the Amesbury whānau, like to hear about and celebrate these achievements with you.

If your child/ren have something that they would like to share (along with some photos, if you like), please email the information to natalie@amesbury.school.nz. Thank you.

Kapi-Mana Music Festival 2022

Kapi-Mana Music is very pleased to let you know that the Kapi-Mana Music Festival will be held over Queen's Birthday weekend 4-5 June 2022 at the Performing Arts Studio, Pātaka Art + Museum, Porirua.

This is open to school students in the greater Wellington area, we have classes for all instruments, and voice, at all levels.

Despite the impact of COVID-19, we held a very successful festival last year. The students thoroughly enjoyed it, and we were treated to many special performances.
