Northern Zone Cross Country - This Tuesday (24 May)
The Northern Zone Cross Country is on this Tuesday at Grenada North Park. We will have a large contingent representing Amesbury. Eilis has emailed all of the parents of those going, providing all of the details.

Year 5&6 Activities Week - Consent Forms due this Friday (27 May)
Even though the Year 5&6 Activities Week is not until December, some parent actions are needed by the end of this week, namely the completion of the consent form and deposit are required no later than Friday 27 May.
For those who opt out of the activities week at El Rancho in Waikanae, there is an 'out and about in Wellington' alternative.
Kalesha has provided an activities week article covering everything, so if you have a child in Year 5 or 6 please read it carefully.
Sausage Sizzle
The Annual Junior Invitational Cross Country will be held at Amesbury on Thursday 2 June. We will have a large number of our Year 1-3s involved.
It is also an opportunity to hold a sausage sizzle and invite all Amesbury students to partake. If you wish for your child to have a sausage please complete an order on Kindo, no later than 2pm on Monday 30 May. The bonus is that the profits will go towards the Year 5-6 end of year camp.
We are also looking for 4 parents to help out with the sausage sizzle.

Electives - Items needed
We begin our electives next week and, with the move to orange level, we are able to have them run across the school rather than by Hub. This enables all of the age levels to work together and to operate as a family interacts.

Cyber Safety Evening - Final Chance to Sign Up
We have advertised the Cyber Safety Evening for the last few weeks and we still have spaces available. Any unfilled spaces at the end of this week will be allocated to other schools in the cluster.
If you are interested in attending a presentation aimed at helping parents to keep their tamariki safe online then complete this form to reserve your seat to one of the two sessions being held at the Rāroa Intermediate School Hall on 7 & 8 June.
Attendance is free for parents as the cost is covered by our Kāhui Ako cluster of schools.
Please note that each school has a total allocation of 70 tickets provided on a first come - first served basis with a maximum of two tickets per family.

Marsden School presents an evening of entertainment
This year’s Marsden School production is an evening of entertainment in two parts. First up is Clara’s on the Curtains, a comedicone-act play about an amateur theatre group whose lead character loses her voice an hour before their show starts, and the hilarity that ensues. The second part is a variety show with items by Marsden’s Year 9-13 students, including cultural and musical performances, songs and dances.
The show nights are Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 May at 7.30pm in the Marsden auditorium. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students, and can be purchased via Marsden’s website www.marsden.school.nz.

Brain Play teaches online after-school science & technology classes to Kiwi kids aged 5 - 13, from right across the country.
Online topics this term include 3D printing, coding, animation, STEM experiments, LEGO & more. Free trials available for new students.
