Updating Vital Information

Thank you to everyone that has responded to the email with the subject heading:

Please Reply: Important information needed

If you haven't replied yet, please find the email with an attached student profile and check that this information is up-to-date by;

  • Opening and 'enabling editing' of the attached Student Profile
  • Check the information we have on file is correct
  • Type changes in the 'additions and amendments' column
  • Save the document and email back to office@amesbury.school.nz - no need to complete the name, date or signature section
  • OR .... email with any updates

This information is important because it is needed for communication with you, the care and safety of your child, and in the event of an emergency.
We need to ensure the following is most up to date in Hero;

  • Medical conditions, allergies, medications, dietary (e.g. vegetarian, foods not permitted) and other important information
  • All phone numbers listed are active and address details are correct
  • At least one person (not a parent) is an Emergency Contact that would be able to collect your child from school in an emergency if you're not able to - we prefer more, so you can have as many emergency contacts listed on Hero as you would like
  • Emergency contacts include someone local/within walking distance to school (neighbour, friend, family) who could get here quickly if the need arises, and they should be aware of the expectation to pick up your child during a significant emergency if it is likely that you will be unable to or delayed. (In the event of a civil emergency or evacuation situation when we have a controlled reunification, we may only release students to a person that is listed as a primary or an emergency contact)
  • The primary contact that is listed first is the person you want us to call first if we need to contact you about your child e.g. if they are unwell or absent
