Missing scooters
Lucas's scooter keeps disappearing from school. We think another child is mistaking it for his own as a similar scooter is being left behind. Lucas's scooter is a blue MGP and he would be very grateful for it's return. It is named on the base. Thank you!
Matilda's scooter has also disappeared and another left in it's place in the scooter rack. It is identical to the one pictured. It is not named on the base. We think a child has mistakenly taken Matilda's home. Can you please check and return if you have it at home by mistake. Hers is a Pink Razor.

Te Rito Resources: Thank you to all of the parents who have supplied Te Rito and the construction elective with boxes and other recycling for our creations. We now have enough resources until next year. Thank you!
Christmas Parade - THIS Saturday: Don't forget to look out for the Amesbury School float at the Johnsonville Christmas Parade this weekend!
Book Fair: Thanks very much to our parent helpers, students, parents, office staff and teachers for your support of our Book Fair. It was a great hit and raised valuable money for new literacy resources. If you missed out and would like to order something from the latest and last Scholastic book catalogue for the year, pick up a brochure from Rachel in the office. Orders will close at the end of Monday 3rd Dec.
BOOK BLITZ: The library is on a mission to get ALL library books back by Friday 7 December. Please hunt out any books at home with the Amesbury School barcode on the back. Currently there are over 600 books issued so please remind your children to send them flooding into the returns box in the library. Please note, there won't be any holiday borrowing this year but the ebooks will be available.
EBOOKS: Ebooks have also been a school hit. Logon at https://amesbury.wheelers.co Username is child's first name dot first initial of last name, eg greg.h and password is ebooks. Then start browsing and issue. Books are automatically returned. There are books for all age groups.
Got your 200L emergency water tank yet? If not, you'll have a chance to buy one between 11.00am to midday on Saturday 8 December. Northern Ward councillors will be selling them for $110 each outside Churton Park New World. To ensure one is reserved for you, pre-order and pre-pay by emailing malcolm.sparrow@wcc.govt.nz<mailto:malcolm.sparrow@wcc.govt.nz>. Mention the name of this school in your email, and $10 from each tank sale will be donated to the school.
Mobile recycling for Wellington Children's Hospital - Medical Equipment
Daniel here from Recycling for Charity: recently we teamed up with Wellington Children's Hospital.
We are running a mobile recycling appeal to help them with funding for new medical equipment for the new children's hospital.
The more mobile phones we receive for recycling the more money that can be donated to this wonderful charity. Teachers, Students and Parents could drop off their old mobile phones at school reception to be collected in a small box, once the box is half full an email or phone call to Recycling for Charity, and we will come and collect them. Easy as! We also recycle a lot of IT equipment as well. If you do have anything lying around that you need to recycle please let Daniel know and he can come and pick it up for FREE.
