Senior Athletics

Our Years 4-6 had their athletics meet last week at Nairnville Park with friendly rivalries to the fore.

It was a long and tiring day with many rotations included, finishing with relays and an 800m race.

Read here for a report on the day and photos.

Northern Zone Athletics Results

The best performers from amongst our Y4-6 at our senior athletics day went on to represent Amesbury at the Northern Zone athletics earlier this week.

Some excellent results by a number of our tamariki meant that they now qualify for the Inter Zones in a few weeks time.

For Charlotte's view of the day, together with results please read her report.

Share and Celebrate

We had our latest Share & Celebrate on Friday afternoon to recognise our latest batch of tamariki who were caught being outstanding.

Read here to see who was recognised and why.

The last days for this year are:

  • Wednesday 20th November: Nada Bakery and Fusion Food Haus

  • Thursday 21st November: Pizza

  • Friday 22nd November: Sushi

Absence due to holiday

For absences for a week or more due to holiday or travel during term time, parents are required to contact the Principal in writing.  This should be well in advance of the holiday/time away from school.  Please also advise in advance of any holiday absence extending into Term 1, 2025 (First day of term for 2025 is Tuesday, 28th January)

NO Glass in Lunchboxes

A plea: Please do not send glass containers in your child's lunchbox as they could break with the potential to cut not only their owners but other tamariki.

Lost and Found

There are 5 fleece jackets that have been unclaimed from the office lost property for some time.  One has blue ribbon sewn on the label and the other 4 have the names of students that have left Amesbury (Logan T/sz8, Milla/sz6, Griffin/sz8, Scarlett C/sz6) .  Please claim these or the Size 12 hoodie with no name, from Rachel at the office if they are yours.

Kelly Club

Get ready for some wheely good fun at Kelly Club next week. We are making delicious pizza, our own driver licence, discovering the best surface for cars and playing fun wheely games.
