Co-curricular Classes in Term 2

By: John Murrihy | Posted Thursday April 11, 2024

Co-curricular lessons begin in Week 1 of next term so sign up as soon as possible if you are interested.

All existing participants - and those that have additionally advised of a Term 2 start - are already on the lists for Term 2 and invoices will be forwarded early next week. If existing ākonga wish to change which lessons they intend to participate next term can you please let me know as soon as possible so that Gail doesn't have to create an invoice and then delete or amend it.

We have a range of opportunities to participate in small group or individual music, gymnastics, speech & drama, and communications skills with specialist teachers and we currently have spaces available.

  • Guitar & Ukulele
  • Keyboard
  • Violin
  • Drums
  • Speech & Drama
  • Communications Skills
  • Rhythmic Gymnastics
  • Singing/Vocal

We were also planning to have dance lessons, however, this has not worked out so, at this stage we are unable to offer dance.

In order to give our tamariki an opportunity to try-out a few co-curricular lessons we provided Taster sessions which proved to be very popular and, after which, a number of new students registered for co-curricular lessons. If you signed up for these Tasters, they have now all been held so, if you haven't already done so, have a chat with your child and see whether they enjoyed their sessions and consider whether you would like to sign them up. If you wish to sign them up or you have more questions please email John (communications@amesbury.school.nz).

There's something for almost everyone. Whether your child has never tried any any of these activities before or is looking to advance their already accomplished skills, here is a great opportunity to do so and it all happens at school and within school time.

If you know nothing about our co-curricular lessons please have a look at the details on our website.
