Education Outside The Classroom activities

We have a lot of activities coming up over the next few weeks. Please make sure you check the events calendar.

Surf Life Saving

Surf life Saving programmes start next week. Full information here. Remember that all students need sunhat, towel, togs and a warm jersey. Surf Life Saving days are non-uniform days for the students who are heading to the beach.

Shoeboxes, please

Several of our Koru students are making dioramas and need shoeboxes. If you have any shoeboxes to spare, please drop them into Koru over the next few days.

Fundraising - Stuck on You 

Stuck on You have an awesome range of personalised school supplies and gift ideas. You can get organised for Christmas and the new school year all at once, and Amesbury gets a share of the sales. Visit Stuck on You, and remember to enter the fundraising code AMESBURYSCHOOL at the checkout.

Slapped cheek

A common, mild, childhood viral infection commonly called "slapped cheek" is doing the rounds in the community.  A Ministry of Health fact sheet can be found here. Contact your GP if you have any concerns.

Book fair

The book fair has begun! See here for hours the book fair is open.

Lunch orders

There will be no lunch orders in week 9. The final day for lunch orders is Friday, 8 December. The last day for Subway orders is next Wednesday, 29 November.

If you have pre-ordered lunches for days your children are away from school or the final week of term, please cancel those orders. 

Absences

Please remember if your child is going to be absent to submit an absence form on the website or email the office to let us know. If you are travelling overseas, please email your child's whānau teacher, the office, and the principal well in advance.

Leaving at the end of the year?

We are now looking at our groupings for next year. If you know that your child will not be attending Amesbury School next year, please let the office know.

School starts on Tuesday 30 January 2018. All 2018 term dates are outlined on our website.

Lunch orders are available Tuesday to Friday. Please put your order in by 8:45am on the day of the order. Full details here.

Christmas Party

Churton Park Community Association is hosting a Children's Christmas Party at Churton Park School on Saturday, 25 December from 1pm to 4pm. Please bring a can for the foodbank and be in to win a prize. 

Churton Park Kindy Fair
