Daylight Saving Starts this Weekend

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we all lose an hour of our holidays as Daylight Saving starts this weekend.

So, if you have devices that don't automatically update, put them forward by one hour before bed on Saturday night.

Harakeke Camp Notice 2

Just a reminder to all Harakeke whānau that the camp will be taking place in Week 1 of Term 4 (11-12 October).

The latest camp notice has been sent via HERO to all Harakeke parents and caregivers including which group your tamariki are in. It contains important information about the timetable of events, costs, and what to bring. If you have not received it, please contact Jemima (jemima@amesbury.school.nz).

Co-curricular Lessons for Term 4

Those who wish to continue with no changes to their co-curricular lessons for Term 4, you need not do anything. You will receive an invoice in your school shop account early next week. Payment of the account by the due date will secure your child's place.

For those who wish to change, add or subtract lessons please email this info to John (communications@amesbury.school.nz), preferably before the invoices go out.

If you know nothing about our co-curricular, please have a look at our co-curricular webpage. Then, if you have any queries or want to sign your tamariki up, please email John (communications@amesbury.school.nz).

St Brigid's Kapa Haka Festival 2023

The annual St. Brigid's Kapa Haka Festival was held last Saturday and our kapa haka group put on an amazing performance as they proudly represented themselves, their whānau and the school.

For a report on the day and photos please have a look at at the Kapa Haka Festival summary.

Amesbury Celebration

Our last day of Term 3 saw our Amesbury Celebration take place.

It was an opportunity to recognise this term's Amesbury Awesomeness winners, to see our co-curricular students perform, to hear about some of the wonderful performances our tamariki have provided outside of school and, sadly, to say goodbye to a few ākonga who have left us at the end of the term.

For all of the details of what happened and who the Amesbury Awesomeness Awards were presented to please see here.

Term 3 in Koru

What exciting things have Koru been up to this term? You'll need to read here to find out for yourself. (Please note that additional photos will be added to the article shortly).

Amesbury Netball in 2023

Netball for our two teams has now concluded for the season.

Covering both Terms 2 & 3, it has resulted in a lot of dedication not only by the players but also the coaches and managers who have diligent supports over this time.

For details of the season please see Eilís's report

Amesbury TV

The latest episodes of our very own Amesbury TV have been uploaded. You can find them on the website or by clicking on the individual links below:

Outside of School Celebrations

Wow! What an amazingly diverse set of talents we have amongst our ākonga that we very seldom hear about.

The latest offerings can be found here. Please take the time to check it out and offer your congratulations to those listed.

If your tamariki have any particular out of school achievements please provide them to us so that we may share them with the wider Amesbury whānau. Watch out for the next notice when Kirat is seeking further submissions early next year.
