What's on this week?

  • 4-year-old programme begins - Monday 21 February 2pm
  • Pōhutukawa Wellington Museum and Te Papa Trip POSTPONED - Monday 21 February
  • Harakeke Wellington Museum and Te Papa Trip POSTPONED - Tuesday 22 February
  • Koru Wellington Museum and Te Papa Trip POSTPONED - Thursday 24 February

Wellington Museum and Te Papa Trips Postponed

Much to the disappointment of many, the hubs Wellington Museum and Te Papa Trips, scheduled for this week, have been postponed as the risks are too high in having our tamariki en masse in public places like Te Papa where there is a huge amount of foot traffic

The trips will take place when Wellington has move out of Red Level.

First Aid Training at Amesbury

Next week (Week 5) St. John's will be at Amesbury School to deliver an age-appropriate first aid training programme to all of our students.

For the details of the programme including what your child/ren will be taught can be found in Eilis's article.

While the programme is free, sending your child/ren to school with a gold coin donation, on Wednesday 2 March, would be much appreciated way of saying 'thank you' to St. John's for this programme and all of the other community programmes and services that they provide.

Achievements Outside of School

We know that a number of students gain achievements outside of school in various activities like sport, music, and for clubs that they are members of, etc. We would, as the Amesbury whānau, like to hear about and celebrate these achievements with you.

If your child/ren have something that they would like to share (along with some photos, if you like), please email the information to natalie@amesbury.school.nz. Thank you.

Scholastic's Book Club

Issue 1, 2022 of Scholastic's Book Club is now available for online ordering. Please read Kirat's article which explains how to place an order (which is different to the previous method).

The closing date is Friday the 25th of March 2022.

Lunchonline - Nada and Sushi

Please update your child’s details in the Lunchonline account by clicking "members" and selecting their 2022 classroom/hub name to ensure their lunch order will be delivered directly to their hub, rather than it being delivered elsewhere in school where they are unable to access it due to the 'red' hub zones.

Visits to the office

If you need to come into the office for a pickup/dropoff while we are in 'red' where possible we ask that only one parent comes in and, weather permitting, wait for your child outside while we collect them from the hub. Many thanks.

Amesbury Kelly Club

If you need help with your children before or after school, Kelly Club has you covered.

Even when working from home, we know it can be impossible to get anything done. Kelly Club has been there to support you and our community for a number of years and they remain committed to helping us all through this next phase.

The Kelly Club team can't wait to see all your children in the next few weeks and as always, welcome new-comers. Please make sure to book online or if you have any questions please send an email or give a call to Sakara 021 133 2891 or amesbury@kellyclub.co.nz.

The friendly Kelly Club team look forward to seeing you and your children.

It is with regret that Kelly Sport have had to cancel the Term 1 programme that usually runs after school on Fridays due to the low numbers that have enrolled.
