Term 4 Learning Celebration - THIS Friday, 23 November, 1.40pm

Please plan to join us for our musical celebration on Friday, 23 November at 1.40pm. A variety of our students will be showcasing their musical talents. You will see the following in action: choir, kapa haka, school band together with a performance from some of our keyboard, violin, ukelele, guitar, and gymnastics students. Please plan to join us, and then stay on for our Bike Track Opening (details below).

Please note: Amesbury Awesomeness awards will be given out in our farewell gathering at 9-9.30am on the final day of term. All welcome.

Official Bike Track Opening - THIS Friday, 23 November, 3.30pm

We are excited to invite you to our "Official" Bike Track Opening on Friday, 23 November at 3:30pm, after our Term 4 Learning Celebration. There will be a 'best dressed bike' parade. Please see the attached flyer for more details. Mayor Justin Lester will be cutting the ribbon, there will a sausage sizzle and plenty of biking fun. Please come along and join in the fun! 

Help please: we would really appreciate some parent volunteers to help with the sausage sizzle. If you're able to do this, please email office@amesbury.school.nz

A BIG THANKS to the Mooney family for providing a truck and generator for our Christmas Parade float! This is very generous and we are grateful to Mesh Coatings for their generous support. 

LOST PROPERTY: please use the opportunity when you visit school on Friday to check through Lost Property. We have a huge amount and whatever remains unclaimed will be taken to charity next week.

  • Please return named items that have been taken home by mistake

KidsArtWork - You can now purchase calendars, cards, diaries, mouse mats and/or sketch pads with your child's artwork on them! Please see our article here. Orders MUST be made by Monday, 26 November. 

The annual Churton Park Community Association Children's Christmas Party is taking place THIS Sunday at Amesbury School from 1.30-4pm. It will be a great afternoon of entertainment for the family. Please see the attached flyer.

Year 0, 1 & 2 Camp:Thank you to all parents who have already made their payment for the year 0,1 & 2 student camp. If you haven't yet made your payment, please login to your online shop account ("Student Invoices" section), to bring your account up to date, as payment was due by 16 November.

CASTING CALL! LOOKING FOR SINGERS TO HELP RECORD THE FIRST 'FEEL BRAVE' SONG AND MUSIC VIDEO - KAPITI COAST JAN 2019.

If you think you've got what it takes and want to be a part of a magical day recording the first ‘Feel Brave’ song in a studio with some fabulous musicians and being part of a music video that will get exposure all around the world, please send a video/video link of you singing to info@feelbrave.com The recording studio is on the Kapiti Coast in New Zealand so you'll need to be able to get there on Sunday the 20th January 2019 and also be available for an audition in person on the 16th Jan and participate in a rehearsal a few days before the recording on the 20th Jan. It doesn't matter what age you are, your voice just needs to sound like characters who are around the 8 to 10 year old range.
