What's on?
Safety notice - Scooters
We have been approached by several community members over the past few weeks, who have let us know about a number of near misses involving students whizzing along the pavement on scooters.
One incident involved a very near miss with a car backing out of a driveway and very nearly hitting a child who was going too fast to stop. Another near miss involved a child riding very quickly onto the road and not stopping or looking for cars.
Please can whānau talk with children about the need to go slowly enough to take evasive action if needed, and to be very mindful of driveways along the pavement.
Teachers will also reinforce this message next week in school.
Thanks for helping us to keep our children safe.

Beach Education Programme
By now everyone should have completed the appropriate registration form for the Beach Education Programme - whether you child(ren) are attending or not.
If you possibly can it would be great if you could help us keep all the children safe by giving some of your time to come along - even if it's just for the period while the kids are in the water.
The first of these programmes start next week (18 & 19 November) - for Y5 & 6.
