"Fun Run" - Monday
This Monday (10 June) is our inaugural "fun run" - but not as you know fun runs. Year 4-6 students came up with ideas and a number of these were incorporated into the event.
Tamariki are encouraged to wear their brightest fancy dress in the races. They should wear school uniform to school and change into fancy dress at lunchtime.
School Photos: This Week
The Inspire Photography Team are excited to be back at Amesbury School this year! We will be photographing your children and their classes this week - on Tuesday 11 and Thursday 13 June.
As part of Amesbury School’s fundraising for the year, Inspire Photography will donate 10% of all sales made during the first two weeks of ordering directly to Amesbury School.
What we offer on the day :
About 2-3 weeks after your photo days, our online galleries will be ready to go. You will receive login details from the school office.

Pōhutakawa Swimming Lessons - Permission Form needed
Pōhutukawa swimming will be taking place next term. Can parents please complete this swimming form for each of your tamariki (children) whether or not they will be attending by 4pm on Friday 21 June.
Disco - Friday 21 June - Parent help needed
Our Term 2 disco is scheduled for June, so preparations are well underway. All the important questions are answered here. After you've read that, scoot along to the school Kindo Shop and book your tickets and order pizza (so that you don't miss out on the night).
For this event to run smoothly, we need some parent help. If you are able to help with this event please can you fill in the Disco Parent Help Form - there are more details about the jobs that we need help with in the form itself.

The latest Scholastic's Book Club issue closes on Friday (14 June) for placing online orders.

Interested in being part of a school choir? - Years 4-6
Our choir have now had a few sessions together with our singing teacher, Tamsyn.
We are still looking for a few more in Years 4, 5 & 6 to be a part of the group. If you think that this maybe for you please read this then complete the registration of interest form.
We want it to be a fun learning experience that includes not only those that already take singing lessons but those who simply want to be part of a larger singing group.

This coming week is all about Friendship Fun! We are planning to make friendship bracelets, bake cookies, play friendship bingo and so much more! Come join in this week's celebration.
