Pōhutakawa Swimming Lessons - Permission Form needed by Friday

Pōhutukawa swimming will be taking place next term. Can parents please complete this swimming form for each of your tamariki (children) whether or not they will be attending by 4pm on Friday 21 June.

Amesbury’s Got Talent Finals

The Heats are all done and, given the wide array of talent, the judges have selected ten acts to participate in the finals to be held on Friday (21 June) at 2pm. Spectators are asked to be seated by 1.55pm. Come along for some free entertainment.

Disco - Friday 21 June - Tickets/Parent help needed

Our Term 2 disco is scheduled for Friday (21 June). All the important questions are answered here. After you've read that, scoot along to the school Kindo Shop and book your tickets and order pizza (so that you don't miss out on the night). Purchases of disco related items close at the School Shop at 4pm on Thursday (20 June).

For this event to run smoothly, we need some parent help. If you are able to help with this event please can you fill in the Disco Parent Help Form - there are more details about the jobs that we need help with in the form itself.

ICAS Exams 2024 - Registrations close Friday

If you are intending for your tamariki to participate in this year's ICAS Exams, you should have already attended the explanation session. 

The next step occurs this Friday (21 June) which is the last day for Registrations. Unfortunately, we cannot accept late registrations.

Miniball - Term 3 - Registrations

Miniball will recommence at the end of July (Week 2 of Term 3).

Registrations are now open for Miniball in Term 3. Registrations close at 4pm on Monday 24th June. Unfortunately, we cannot accept late registrations.

Please read Rupert's notice for info and registration details - they vary depending on whether your child participated in Term 2 or not. We also need a coach/manager for each team.

Futsal Festival - Registrations

Registrations are now open for the popular Futsal Festivals. Registrations close at 4pm Monday 1st July.


The futsal festivals will be held in September and you can find all the details, rules etc. in Rupert's article.

Raising Body Confident Kids
Ngaio School are hosting a Raising Body Confident Kids parent talk with Emma Wright for our community on Wednesday 19 June 2024.You may have heard Emma interviewed by Jesse Mulligan on RNZ or seen her in The Herald, talking about her recently published book Body Confident: a Guide to Raising Happy Eaters. She holds a Master's Degree, is well researched and has lived experience with disordered eating. Emma's talk will arm you with practical tools and strategies to help your child build resilience to damaging messages, eat without overthinking and have a healthy relationship with their body.

Netball Holiday Programme

Raroa Intermediate School, Johnsonville - Week 1 Only!

Tues 9th, Weds 10th, Thurs 11th July - 9am-12pm.

Years 1-4 - For Beginners, these sessions will work on improving basic netball skills and help start to develop technical and tactical knowledge in accordance with the Future Ferns Programme. Children will work towards the following skills Passing, Shooting, Spatial Awareness and Defensive Skills.

Years 5-8 - These sessions will work on sharpening the basic skills - Passing and Shooting and we will start to develop a better understanding of the 7-aside game and the different positional roles. We will use fun drills and games to develop and challenge young players focusing on the key skill areas for their level of development while also have fun!!.
