What's on this week?
Touch Rugby - Registrations close this Sunday (4 February)
If your tamariki are interested in playing touch rugby this term for a school team please read the info in Rupert's Notice and fill in a registration. Don't dally because registrations close at 8pm on Sunday (4 February). Coaches are also required if you are in a position to help out.
If you have any questions please contact Rupert (rupert@amesbury.school.nz) directly.
Trip to Te Papa - Term 1
As part of this term's inquiry, Hub trips later this month have been planned to see the dinosaurs at Te Papa.
All the details can be found here.
As always parent help is essential so if you can help out on the day that your tamariki are going please advise:
Co-curricular Lessons - start in Week 3
Lessons begin in Week 3 - 14 February - so don't delay signing up if your tamariki are interested.
All students who are continuing with their co-curricular lessons in Term 1 have already secured their places by paying their invoices. Particularly with last year's Year 6s having left we have spaces available in all of our lessons, although some are limited and we have a first come - first served policy.
If you know nothing about the lessons please read the Co-curricular Lessons article and also our webpage. Please email John (communications@amesbury.school.nz) if you have any questions or you wish to sign your child up. It really is as easy as that.

Kelly Sports - Back to School Sports
Kelly Sports is back at Amesbury School for Term 1! Kelly Sports encourages children to have fun, build confidence and to give sport a go.
We believe that sport and physical activity has so much to offer young people; it improves fitness, develops communication skills, team work and gives them a place to channel their energy.
Back to School Sports (Years 0-4) – Tuesday’s 3.05pm-4.05pm – The sports we will focus on this term are: Athletics, Ultimate Frisbee, Turbo Touch and Dodgeball.
It’s a great way to try new sports, learn new skills and improve ability. We use games & drills to teach game sense and team play. Your child will learn the basic fundamental skills for all sports – throwing, running, jumping, striking, balance and many more – all while having a great time!
Sessions start on Tuesday 13 February 2024 and runs for 8 weeks.
