Staff Only Day in Term 4 2023

  • Schools have been assigned four Staff Only Days for work to support the implementation of the New Zealand Curriculum Refresh. Two of these days are for 2023, and two are for 2024.
  • We held our first staff only day early in Term 2 this year.
  • Our second staff only day for 2023 will be held on Friday 20th October. This day aligns with a staff only day for Rāroa Intermediate, and is also the day before Labour Day Weekend. This essentially means school will be closed for instruction for four days over this weekend - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Labour Day on Monday. This date has now been entered into our school calendar, which can be found on our school website.
  • Teachers will use this day on 20th Oct to explore Te Mātaiaho, the refreshed NZ curriculum.
