End of Years Camps - Volunteers still needed

Our end of year camps for Koru & Pōhutukawa are coming up from 27 November - 1 December. All the details below:

To ensure that we have a safe and enjoyable experience we still need some volunteers to help out. If your tamariki are in either of those Hubs and you are able to assist, please contact the appropriate person in the respective hub articles.

Beach Education - Consent Form & Volunteers Needed

In Weeks 9 & 10 we will be holding our biennial Beach Education programme. Each year group has a different day of involvement.

Please read the Beach Education advice which includes:

  • a Consent Form - to be completed by Friday 17 November
  • a request for Volunteers - to ensure that all of our tamariki are safe

Northern Zone Athletics

It was a lovely warm day at Newtown Park on Monday for the Northern Zone Athletics but the Amesbury athletes were in hot form - running, jumping and throwing.

While everyone put their all into their performances, eight of our tamariki prevailed on the day and will now move onto the InterZone athletics later this month.

For all of the details of the day, the results and plenty of photos please read Eilís's report.

Lunch Orders: last days for this year

  • Pizza: Thursday 23rd Nov
  • Lunchonline: Wednesday 22nd and Friday 24th November

Request for help to pack pizza into bags

On average we have about 330 slices of pizza ordered for student lunches every Thursday, so it's all go getting the pizza into the bags!

It would be such a great help to have a group of people to call on, so the same people don't need to do it every week. There's just 3 weeks of lunch orders left for this year, so if you want to trial to see if you're interested in helping next year, or can add us to your schedule for 20 mins, or need a break from working at home on a Thursday ... Come and give it a go ;-)

The pizza generally arrives at 12.20pm and packing is all done by 12.40/50pm.
If you're happy for me to add you to the list to help now and again please let Rachel know: office@amesbury.school.nz or pop in and visit :-)
