What's on?
School Camps
All of the school camps are happening this week.
The links to the latest newsletters are above. Please re-read them and make sure that your child(ren) has everything they need as well as noting what time they have to be where.
Also a reminder not to order lunches for the days they will not be here at school.
Books
Just a reminder that all library books should have already been returned to school. Quickly bring them back if you haven't.
Also don't forget to return all school readers before the end of the school year.
Kindo Updates
A new Top Up Account page that works better on phones
The new-look "Top Up Account" page is another way for parents to add funds to their Kindo balance, without doing a purchase at the same time. The page includes bank account reference details and the link for using online topup methods (credit card, POLi) - and now it resizes for phones and ipads, making it much easier to use when out and about.
A new functionality to automatically link existing family accounts.
Caregivers with existing myKindo accounts, have been seeing a prompt to 'link' their students to school records. Some families are ignoring the prompt and so a new facility to link them automatically has been put in place.
Most families will simply notice that they can now see outstanding items at the top of their screen, rather than an "action required" prompt to link their students.
No students will be removed, but if the student name does not match, caregivers may notice they've now have two children of similar names on their account. They can delete the extra student on the 'my details' page.
If you have any concerns or questions, please contact us on 09-869 5200 (or 0508 454 636) or email helpdesk@tgcl.co.nz.
Lost Property
Has anyone mistakenly taken home Aanya's fleece? It does have her name on it and has a broken zip. If so, can you please give it to one of the teachers in Koru hub. Thanks.
'Pack the Bus' - Wednesday 4 December
A reminder because it happens this week.
This year Amesbury School is participating in the Wellington City Mission Christmas Charity event ‘Pack the Bus’.
During December the ‘Bus’ travels around Wellington picking up donations of Food and Gifts, which are then distributed to those families in need over the Christmas period.
On Wednesday 4 December the ‘Bus’ will be arriving at school to ‘Pack’ all of the donations made by students & families of Amesbury School.
We need your help! It would be great if your child could bring something to donate to this worthy cause. The options are endless, some ideas are: cans of food, crackers, cereals, chippies, toiletries and of course festive items such as biscuits/chocolates. All food items need to be sealed and non perishable.
There will be a collection point in the office foyer from Monday 25 November. Wouldn't it be great if our donations could be placed all along the length of the ‘drop off zone’ at School. If you have any questions please contact Belinda Beazer (Jack & Greta Eglinton’s mum) (bbeazer@hotmail.com) or talk to Regina or Rachel at School.
Summer Reading Challenge
Wellington City Libraries are running a Summer Reading Challenge which, additionally, can win you and the school prizes.
