Mask and Covid-19 Update for Term 3 - Reminder

The Ministry of Education has asked all schools to require mask wearing indoors from all year 4-6 students and all staff. We will follow this recommendation, and we require mask wearing indoors for all year 4-6 ākonga and all staff for the first four weeks of Term 3. We also require all visitors to wear a mask indoors. We will supply surgical masks for staff, students and visitors where needed - they will be made readily available each day in all hubs and in our reception area.

For more detail on the update please take the time to read through Urs's Mask and Covid-19 Update for Term 3 article.

Made-to-order products with your child's artwork on them

Students have been very busy creating their own artwork that can be printed onto calendars, cards, diaries, mouse mats and sketch pads (spiral bound A5 notebook with blank pages) that are available for you to buy.

Your tamariki will have brought home a named order code form that will have a unique code that is linked to their art. Please use this to order online via the KidsArtWorks website. (Orders cannot be made via the school by cash or on the school account).

Final orders close at midday Monday 15th August and, sorry, no late orders can be accepted.

Purchased items will be delivered to school and given to students to bring home as soon as they are available.

For all of the detailed information please read Rachel's article. If you have any questions please email Rachel (office@amesbury.school.nz).

Mid-Year Student Achievement Data 2022

For a summary of the 2002 Mid Year Student Data please read Urs' article which also provides a link to the data.

It demonstrates trends of student achievement at a level that deliberately does not identify individuals or groups.

Futsal Festival

With the huge interest shown by our ākonga we will have a total of 8 teams competing the Futsal Festival in September.

Eilis has provided preliminary information about the festival and arrangements. She will provide more detailed information as we get nearer to the event.

Uniform

The gold polo top in sizes 2 - 8 is currently sold out.

The new stock that is in production is due to arrive mid August.

Clothing backup - for all Students

Just a reminder - if you hadn't noticed - that with winter here we have plenty rain, puddles and mud.

Please pack a spare set of shorts/track pants/leggings, and underpants in your child's school bag (for all ages) with a plastic bag to put the wet clothes in, and let your child know that they are there for them to get changed into.

For some children it can be quite embarrassing or upsetting when they unexpectedly become wet or dirty (particularly if there isn't anything for them to change into) or they don't like what is available. We have limited space to hold a selection of spares so are not always able to cater for all 'requests' and sizes (particularly size 8 plus).
