Sports Festivals this Term

Rachel has put together a list of Northern Zone sports festivals taking place this term. See what is happening here and if it interests your tamariki, keep an eye out for the details and registrations which will come out later.

Parent Run Sports Teams

Interested in Volleyball, 3x3 Basketball or Girls' Cricket?

There is an opportunity for tamariki to be involved in these sports happening in Term 1. Please note that they are parent organised and run. See here for all the details.

New World Club Card Fundraising

If you would like to support our school in funding items that enhance our ākonga learning and play experiences - all at no cost to yourselves - you need look now further.

Amesbury School has entered into partnership with Churton Park New World, whereby they will provide $1 for every $100 you spend. All we are asking you to do is to fill in this form.

In the short time that this partnership has been in place, the school has benefitted by over $2,300 with which we have purchased a Kī-o-Rahi kit and soft play equipment for Koru Hub. With our next round of funding we intend to purchase some outdoor play equipment.

Small Boxes needed in Koru Hub

Koru would like bring in some small boxes please: cereal boxes, muesli bar boxes and paper towel tubes are the ideal size.

If you can help out - and provide real meaning to your recycling at the same time - please drop them off in the Karaka (orange carpet) space in Koru Hub. Thanks in advance.

Kelly Club

This coming week's theme is Lantern Festival. I hope you are ready for all the fun we have planned - We will be Making yummy cookies. We will be playing tennis. We are creating our own paper lanterns and making a lantern holder.

We cannot wait to see you there.

Johnsonville Junior Softball Club

The Club is offering Tiny Sox Friday Summer Sessions. This program is designed to give tamariki (boys and girls) a fun and engaging introduction to tee-ball, focusing on essential skills like throwing, catching, and hitting—all through play. No prior experience is required, just a love for having fun!

When: 4 Fridays, from 14th February to 7th March 2025 (5-6pm)
Where: Alex Moore Park
Cost: $20 registration fee
Bonus: Every registered child will receive a free club t-shirt!
