What's on?

Harakeke and Pōhutukawa Swimming - Term 3

An article on Harakeke & Pōhutukawa Swimming in Term 3 has been published.

Please read it here, noting the dates and what the kids need to bring, and also please go to your school shop account and make the payment before 17 August.

If you have any queries pleas contact your child's whānau teacher.

Student Invoices

Could all parents please check the "Student Invoices" section of the online shop to check if you have any outstanding invoices that need to be paid? https://shop.tgcl.co.nz/.

Unfortunately, our system currently doesn't send you out a notification when a new invoice is added.

Spare balls of wool for our electives?

One of the elective groups is going to be making gorgeous soft toys with pom-poms for an elective this term.

If you perhaps have any odd balls of wool, or wool you won't be using any longer, just lying around the house, could you please send it to school. It would be great if we have a large variety of colours for kids to choose from.

There will be a container in the library where the wool can be dropped off.

Nicholas Jermyn (NZ shirtmakers)

The Board has agreed a sponsorship partnership with Nicholas Jermyn (NZ shirtmakers) where parents get a discount using a code, and the school gets a cut of any sales using the code: amesbury 15

Spare clothes in school bags

Please pack a spare set of short/pants/leggings and underpants in the school bag (for all ages) with a plastic bag to put the wet clothes in, and let your child know that they are there for them.

For some children it can be quite upsetting when they unexpectedly become wet or dirty (particularly if there isn't anything for them to change into) or they don't like what is available. We have limited space to hold a small selection of spares but are not always able to cater for all sizes and 'requests'.

Lost Property

School Fleeces: x1 size 2, x2 size 4, x2 size 8 (including the one in the photo below)

Heaps of long sleeve black tops, black track pants and socks

Found in carpark (likely fell out of the same wallet) Credit card, Driver's Licence and Snapper Card

Newlands Intermediate

On Thursday 30 July Newlands Intermediate will be holding an Open Evening in their school hall, 7-8.30pm. Students and families are all welcome to attend this.

On Tuesday 11 August Newlands will open their school for a “School in Action” morning 9–10.30am. This is an opportunity to see the school working as it does each day.

All enrolments for 2021 should be made online by 31 August 2020. www.newlandsint.school.nz

On Friday 13 November students who are enrolled, or planning on attending Newlands in 2021 are invited to take part in an Orientation Morning. All students are collected from their schools by bus for this morning.

All of the above dates and activities have been added to the Amesbury Events Calendar.
