Sport in Term 4

For all things sport please read Eilís' Sport in Term 4 article. It also includes things to do and try at lunchtimes. So if you are interested in trying something new, here's your chance.

Cultural Festival 

The cultural festival is taking place on Friday 10 November to coincide with the official opening of our new building and the Book Fair. Everyone is invited and encouraged to come along and participate in the experience.

Annual Book Fair in Term 4, Week 5

Our Annual Book Fair is taking place in Term 4, and also coincide with our Cultural Festival, which enables extended hours giving everyone a more relaxing opportunity to browse though the vast selection of books.

In her Book Fair information article, Kirat has provided details on what is happening together with all the operating times times. Of course, to ensure that everything runs smoothly, she is looking for volunteers to assist. No special abilities required, simply a willingness to give up some of you time. If you can help please email Kirat (kirat@amesbury.school.nz) and let her know.

Harakeke Zoo Camp 2023

Harakeke had their annual camp this week and were fortunate enough to have a sleepover at the zoo as a part of it. Apart from being an enjoyable experience, it was very educational.

Kelly Club

This coming week at Kelly Club we will have an awesome video game marathon! 

We will be playing real-life Papa's Pizzeria, building Minecraft structures right here in Kelly Club, and playing all sorts of crazy games!

Kelly Sports - Term 4

Kelly Sports is back for Term 4 - Sprint into Sports

Tuesday’s 3.05pm – 4.05pm, starts Tuesday 17 October 2023 for 8 weeks.

The Kelly Sports sessions are a great way to improve your child’s motor skills and coordination within a FUN environment. We aim to develop and enhance balls skills, catching, kicking and throwing, while improving strength, flexibility, hand/eye coordination and spatial awareness.

In Term 4 we will be focusing on the following sports:
T-Ball, Athletics, Cricket and Football!

We teach new skills and improve ability by using games, drills and exercises. It’s a great way to try new sports, improve skills and maintain fitness – all while having FUN!

Raising Body Confident Kids in the Digital Age

The Churton Park Home and School are hosting Emma Wright for Raising Body Confident Kids in the Digital Age at Raroa Intermediate on the 25th of October aimed for parents of 5-15 year olds.
