On Wednesday we saw a puppet musical written and performed by Jeffrey Addison and Whaitaima Te Whare. The show weaves together eight of Maui Tikitiki's most daring deeds and features Flatso puppets.
Then we had a session of Numba Haka. Based on traditional Māori learning through ako-a-tinana, Numba Haka uses the body, live rhythms and knowledge of numeracy to create a fun multi-lingual dance that everybody in the audience could take part in.
TORO PIKOPIKO PUPPETS are celebrating their twentieth year of creating maori themed entertainment for children.
