Elective subjects are chosen from student suggestions, and then the students choose which of the electives they would like to do.

This term's electives cover a wide range of practical skills:

  • Drawing
  • Baking (cupcakes, pies, cookies, etc)
  • Dress-up and drama
  • Minecraft
  • Hip hop dancing
  • Netball and soccer skills
  • Sewing
  • Pokemon
  • Makerspace
  • Coding and code-breaking.

Some of these subjects may be of direct benefit to students' families - if your child is in the baking elective, you may wish to give them some homework to help polish their cupcake baking skills. Meanwhile, other electives will add to their digital skill sets.

During the middle block on Fridays the school is a hub of merry chaos as the students get stuck in to learning their electives - their excitement for their chosen subjects is positively infectious!

Check in with your child to find what elective they have chosen.
