Warm winter clothing needed

As the cold months approach, a dedicated group of Year 11-13 rangatahi (young people) from Samuel Marsden Collegiate School are once again stepping up to help those in need. Our annual Winter Project clothing drive is back, and we need your support to ensure everyone in Wellington stays warm this winter.

For the past ten years, this initiative has been a vital source of support for individuals and families struggling to keep warm. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we have been able to provide much-needed winter essentials to those who need them most. This year, we hope to continue this tradition of kindness and care.

We are collecting warm clothing items, including:

  • Jumpers

  • Pants

  • Jackets

  • Polypropylene layers

  • Blankets

  • Beanies

  • Scarves

  • Gloves

If you have any of these items in good condition that you no longer need, please bring them in and place them in the donation box located in the school reception area. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference in helping someone stay warm this winter.

We will be collecting donations until the end of Term 1 (mid-April), so there is plenty of time to look through your wardrobes and give what you can. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those facing the winter chill.

Thank you for your generosity and support. Let’s share the warmth!

Ngā mihi nui,

the Winter Project team
