Netball highlights

The netball season has finished and the coaches have given us highlights of their season.

These school teams could not have gone ahead without the parents who volunteered to coach. We would like to thank Komal, Sarah and Luisa for doing this. We appreciate the effort it takes.

Amesbury Diamonds - Year 3&4

The Amesbury Diamonds had a fantastic netball season, especially since for most of the girls it was their first time playing. They consistently came to their netball practice on Mondays after school, attended the skills and game session on Saturdays and put into practice what they learned every week.  By the end of the season they displayed great netball skills on court and showed great team spirit and camaraderie. They had become confident netball players and they had fun along the way. As a coach I’m very proud of the mahi the girls had put into their netball practice and it was a privilege to coach them. Ka pai Amesbury Diamonds!

Amesbury Aces - Year 5&6

This season was an incredible journey for the Amesbury Aces netball team. Despite experiencing mixed results on the scoreboard, the girls showcased remarkable determination and enthusiasm in every game. Their hard work and commitment to improvement were evident as they learned new skills and passing strategies. Each player made good progress, working hard to put skills we worked on in practices into their games. As a coach, I was pleased to see the enjoyment the team got from their games and was proud of their commitment. I look forward to seeing how they continue to develop in the future!

Amesbury Ferns - Year 5&6

The Amesbury Ferns have had an awesome season. The girls really enjoyed it, even though some didn't know how to play at first. We worked on our skills and drills every Tuesday and they got better and better. Our games on Saturdays were always fun and the best thing about this team was that they played with heart and always played their best. In three of our games, the opposition coaches came to me to say "thank you": they loved playing against us - as the girls were so friendly - and that they enjoyed the game. The players improved their skills throughout the season. The best thing was that everyone tried different positions and this helped them improve their skills. I loved this team, the vibes, the energy, the care and most of all the smiles I saw in them every Saturday made the coaching worth it.
