Te Papa Trip - Parent Helpers Needed

As a part of our current inquiry, a trip to Te Papa next month is planned for all ākonga.

Jemima has provided all of the relevant information here.

As with all of out trips away from school - to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all of our tamariki - we still need more parent volunteers to also come along and help out. Please check the date that your tamariki will be attending and, if you are available to help, please contact the designated Hub teacher.

On the day of the trip all ākonga will need a packed lunch. If your tamariki have their trip on a Thursday and you have an order in for pizza please do not forget to cancel it at any time prior to the cut off time on the day. You can do this via Kindo > My Orders > Transactions (find the date) > Cancel.

Any orders not cancelled, will still be filled as we are unable to transfer them to a subsequent week. In this case ākonga will need to collect them from the office once they return from the trip or, alternatively, the following day.

  • Harakeke: Thursday 8th June
  • Pōhutukawa: Thursday 22nd June (parents of students attending this day and not the Tuesday will be advised closer to the time)

Term 2 Disco - Friday 16th June - Helpers still needed

Our Term 2 Disco is on Friday 16 June and Gar Kee has provided the "all you need to know" info here.

Apart from letting everyone know when it's on and what will be there, Gar Kee is also after as many helpers as possible so that the event runs smoothly and, more importantly, the tamariki have a wonderful time. So if you can help, please contact Gar Kee (garkee@amesbury.school.nz) and let her know. She will be extremely grateful.

Netsafe Parent Information Session - Now on 15 August

The Netsafe Parent Information has now been rescheduled to 5-6pm on Tuesday 15 August in the school hall. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by the date alteration.

The session will focus on supporting adults to keep our tamariki safe online.

If you are planning to attend please complete the rsvp form. If you already completed the form for the earlier planned session, we would ask that you resubmit the for.

For all the details - including the areas that the session will cover - please read through Urs's article. Please note that this article has been updated since it was originally published.
