Northern Zone Cross Country

The weather threatened to rain, but the races went ahead and thankfully we only experienced a few spits here and there. The course was MUDDY and the top 10 would go through to the next level - Interzone.

First of our students to race were the Year 4 - all excitement and nerves for their first experience. Congratulations Basti for coming 2nd and making it into the Interzone competition.

Next were the Year 5, some of which remembered the mud from last year and the hazards that came with it. Congratulations to Ruby for coming 1st and Josh for coming 7th and also going through to the next stage of the competition.

Our Year 6 were last to race and thankful the rain was holding out. For some of these students, this was their third time here and well seasoned with the mud, while others were experiencing it for the first time. Congratulations Heidi for coming 8th, Luca for coming 4th and Ignacio for coming 8th making it to Interzone.

Well done to the whole team, they were amazingly supportive of each other, calling encouragement throughout and congratulating at the end.

Thank you to all the parents for helping out with transport to and from the event also - we cannot do this without you!
