We are grateful that Wellington City Council could accommodate our big numbers following the recently announced public holiday.
Buses will transport students to and from Newtown Park but parents and caregivers are very welcome to come along and support our students.
Action will commence from 10am and conclude around 2pm. Please note that the Y3 ākonga will return to school at the earlier time of 1:30pm this year after they finish their events. As this is part of our school sports programme, all students are expected to participate unless they have a specific reason not to.
On the day, students can come to school in non-uniform and will need:
plenty of food and water
sunblock
school sunhat and polar fleece
appropriate running clothes and footwear (bare feet are also fine)
warm clothing and wet weather gear.
We do need parent help to ensure the safety of all students and the smooth running of each event. In previous years, we have found that parents like to move around with their child and help out with the event their child is competing in. We will continue that practice.
