ASB Sports Sessions for Amesbury School

By: Eilis Cassidy | Posted Thursday July 28, 2022

As part of our P.E and Health programme for Term 3, students will be attending the ASB Arena during school time and will be transported there and back by bus. The main purpose of this programme is to encourage students to become interested in being active participants in a variety of sports.

Each week will comprise two 45 minute sessions. Each session will be broken down into two parts: age appropriate skill building followed by the opportunity to actively participate in the sport. Students will get the chance to try a different sport after three weeks. Some of the sports on offer include gymnastics, futsal and dodgeball. This programme will be delivered by qualified, experienced coaches and there is no cost for our students. We are certain that our students will enjoy this programme a lot!

ASB SPORT PROGRAMME - TERM 3 - 2022

Dates and times for the three hubs:

Koru Hub - Monday mornings starting Week 2 (1 August).

Harakeke Hub - Tuesday mornings starting Week 3 (8 August).

Pōhutukawa Hub - Tuesday late morning to early afternoon starting Week 3 (8 August).

Your child should come to school as normal on these days equipped with a jacket, lunch, water bottle and suitable indoor sports shoes.
