Mihi Whakatau

Haere mai ngā waewae tapu ki runga ki te kura ō Amesbury!

The kaiako at Amesbury School felt it was important to welcome ākonga (students) and their whānau (family) to Amesbury, despite the current red setting restrictions.

It was well overdue, with a lot of our ākonga starting last year.  In fact, we welcomed 34 new ākonga and 2 kaiako into Koru hub; 2 ākonga and 1 kaiako into Harakeke hub; 5 ākonga and 1 kaiako into Pōhutukawa hub.

It was fantastic to hear mihi from ākonga and kaiako, followed by singing and in the older two hubs, haka.

We hope you enjoy the photos.
