What have we been doing for Movin' March?
This year we have had so much participation in Movin' March. We have already collected over 100 completed passport cards! This shows us that children are loving walking and wheeling to and from school.
Each Friday we have drawn out spot prizes for children, these include some extra bonus prizes that were bought with our $100 prezzy card that we won as a school.
So far the children have supported Movin' March by creating posters, participating in a colouring competition.
On Friday we held our 'dress up your wheels' competition. See an array of these photos below.
For the remainder of March there will be a focus on sustainable ways to travel to school. The children will be supported in working out the distance from home to school. From this we will be able to look at some ways that we can support safe walking/wheeling to school in the future.
Don't forget that there is a whānau photo competition! Take a look at the details here.
