March is the month when Greater Wellington Regional Council encourages all students across the region to WOW! (Walk or wheel). Let's get involved!
Greater Wellington Regional Council's WOW competition is about encouraging students (and parents) to walk or wheel to school throughout March.
All students will be given a 'passport' card on 1st March that can be stamped once each day if they WOW (walk or wheel to school). Each passport has 12 stamp points. When all 12 have been stamped, they can hand in their completed card and get another one.
At the end of Movin' March, all completed passport cards will be sent off to GWRC (school will collect them all and send them in) and students will be in with a chance to have their card drawn out to win one of twelve $400 My Ride vouchers.
There will also be other competitions running throughout the month with a variety of prizes (more details about dress up your bike and art competition to come out later). One that you can get involved with at home is the whānau photo comp - Take photos of your whānau walking or wheeling to school and tag the movinmarch facebook page to win a family pass to Staglands or ZEALANDIA or a Micro scooter!
With our sunny weather, our pump, skills and bike tracks AND a chance to win a My Ride voucher, why not get involved?
