School Camps & Beach Education

School camps are done and dusted for the year. From all accounts they were very enjoyable - especially the Y5/6 group that went to the South Island.

Articles on these will be posted as soon as they are completed and links to photos will be provided to parents when they are available.

By the way, the photo at the top i of this week's notices isn't just some random picture that I found, it's the kids on the Y5/6 on their Abel Tasman National Park walk.

This week the Beach Education programme caters for both Koru (Monday & Tuesday) and Te Rito (Wednesday) hubs. Please read the earlier article for details as to when and when's needed before you go.

Lost and Found
Do you have a pair of sports shoes at home (very similar to the ones shown in the photo below) that seem a little too big?? This smaller sized pair were left at school and you may have accidentally taken someone else's larger US size 6 pair. If so, please see Rachel at the office to do a swap!

Have you lost a key in the little playground? See the photo below.

Holiday things-to-do

'Hour of Code'

FunCoding are running a free 'Hour of Code' event at the Churton Park Community Centre Hall from 2-3.30pm on Sunday 15 December.

The event is suitable for those aged 8-12. And all that you have to bring along is your laptop.

Students will create their own apps or games they can show their parents, and we’ll also print 'Hour of Code' certificates they can bring home.

And, it’s fun! With interactive, hands-on activities, students will learn computational thinking skills in an approachable way.

Wellington Diving Club

Are you interested in spring board diving over the holidays and you are:

  • Comfortable in deep water?; and
  • Confident swimming 25m?
