Time to start thinking about what to do in the school holidays? Plus what's on this week ....
You will be aware that there is a large and increasing measles outbreak particularly in Auckland with over 800 confirmed cases, however, there are 21 cases in Wellington to date.
With school holidays approaching and a number of national sports and cultural events measles is likely to continue in NZ for months.
The Regional Public Health Officer is providing information to all school communities to raise awareness of what people can do now to prevent further spread of measles.
Please read the information sheet below, in this link, or visit the Regional Public Health website www.rph.org.nz/measles for more information. If you have any further questions please call Regional Public Health on 04 570 9002.

UNICEF Tamariki Walk
UNICEF at Victoria University and Vic Red Cross are student run clubs that hope to contribute to the local community. Similar to the spirit of the organisations we are focused on the welfare of local children.
We will be holding a Tamariki Walk on the 14th September at Boyd Wilson from 1:30 pm to raise funds for our future events and for a local initiative that helps our Tamariki. There will be a walking course with fun challenges and participants are encouraged to bring an item of choice that would be used as the weight to symbolise the struggles that children go through around the world to have access to education, water and medical assistance. There will be prizes for the people who bring the most creative weight!
Help us spread the word by sharing this email as the proceeds from the bake sale, BBQ and raffle will be going to our cause. Come along and have a great day with your family! Register on https://forms.gle/TUASabZ9PoEfFz879
