Wellington City Library Visit

By: Chrissy Turnbull | Posted Wednesday June 5, 2019

Two librarians will be coming to school in on Friday 7th June to talk with Year 3-6 students about what the Wellington Libraries have to offer. The session will require students to bring their library cards (if they have one). Please do not worry if they do not have one as the Wellington Librarians will bring spares with them so they can still participate in the session.

The purpose of the session is to have the librarians come in to help students learn about ways to access the great online resources that the library offers. This includes but not exclusively e-books and audio books. They will also walk the students through using searching tools correctly.

In addition, Year 5 and 6 students will get a guided tour of AnyQuestions, their online real-time homework help service for NZ school students which is designed for older students and will be hugely beneficial.

The librarians will bring some forms if students are keen to sign up to the library and these will need to be returned to the library by a parent or guardian.

If you have any questions please contact Chrissy in the library or email chrissy@amesbury.school.nz
