Sunhats: Remember school sunhats are compulsory for outdoor play/activities next term. If you need to purchase one ready for the summer term, please place your online shop order now!

New Build Community Consultation Session: Wed, 24 October 5.45pm: As per our email on Monday, if you would like to attend our Consultation Evening, please read this article and fill in the RSVP form within that document.  RSVPs will close on Monday, 22 October.

Resource request: Term 4's construction elective and Te Rito Hub need some resources to create with. We would gratefully accept donations of newspaper/ small boxes/ clean plastic bottles/ egg boxes/ lunch wrap tubes (not toilet rolls) and unwanted craft materials (e.g. feathers, stickers, buttons). Thank you for all of the donations so far.

Gardening club: In term 4, our keen gardeners will be planting some summer vegetables. If you have any excess seeds, leftover plants or self-seeded vegetables/flowers growing in your garden, we would love to plant/replant these in our school garden. We garden on a Friday and any donations of items could be dropped with Gemma in Te Rito. Thank you.

KELLY SPORTS TERM 4

Kelly Sports will be back in Term 4 with their fun and exciting classes. Kelly Sports encourages children to have fun, build confidence and to give sport a go. We believe that sport and physical activity has so much to offer young people; it improves fitness, develops communication skills, team work and gives them a place to channel their energy.

Summer Fun in the Sun! (Yrs 1-4) –Fridays 3.05pm-4.05pm. Come and try Athletics, Touch Rugby, Tball and Ultimate Frisbee. It’s a great way to try new sports, learn new skills and improve ability. We use games & drills to teach game sense and team play. Learn the fundamental skills for all sports – throwing, running, jumping, striking, balance and many more – all while having a great time!

Situations Vacant - Encore School of Music

Equipments Assistant:

If you're trustworthy, fit & healthy and have access to a car, this part-time role might be just right for you! We are looking for an Equipments Assistant to help set up and pack down for music classes on Saturdays at Amesbury School. 6.5 hours fortnightly. $20 per hour + mileage.

Operations Assistant:

We’re looking for an Operations Assistant to help set up and pack down for music classes, ensure operations run smoothly, help with reception work and administration. If you're friendly, organised, trustworthy, and fit, we would love to hear from you. Access to car required. 10-11 hours weekly. $20 per hour + mileage.

Kaukau Challenge: Khandallah School is holding the Kaukau Challenge on Sunday 18 November. See attached poster. The Kid's Kaukau Challenge is a fun walk/run up and down Mt Kaukau, starting and finishing at Khandallah School. Children that take part get a real feeling of achievement from taking up the challenge and also get to be part of an enjoyable community event. The event is open to children aged 5-13 and registration costs $15 for the first child in a family and $10 for each additional child. The registration fee covers a running bib, timing chip and goodie bag for each child. http://khandallah.school.nz/
