School Notices: 26-28 September

Student Conferences: are being held this week on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. A reminder that Derek's conferences are postponed until early next term. 

Learning Celebration: Please join us for a 1.50pm start in the hall on the last day of term (Friday 28th) for performances, presentations and awards. All students will be sharing their inquiry and art work at the walk-through expo that includes exciting demonstrations of robots, publishing, puppets, comics, skits, technology, books, plays and more...

Sunhats: Remember school sunhats are compulsory for outdoor play/activities next term. If you need to purchase one ready for the summer term, please place your online shop order now!

School Photos:  Photos are being given to students who are the eldest in the family this week.  Te Rito and Koru Hub students will have received these today/Wednesday and Harakeke students will be given theirs tomorrow/Thursday.

Co-curricular lessons: We have final places available in group keyboard, gymnastics and our new junior and senior speech & drama classes. Please confirm to Rachael van Rij (communications@amesbury.school.nz) if you are interested in securing a place by Friday please. 

Amesbury Athletics Day: Our Amesbury School athletics day for Years 3-6 is happening on Wednesday 17 October (Week 1, Term 4). It will run from 10am-2pm at Newtown Park. Any parent helpers would be greatly appreciated to ensure the safe and smooth running of each event. More details will be sent out at the end of this week.

Miniball: FYI: There will be no Amesbury Miniball Teams next term. 

Netball: Year 3-6 Prize giving will be held on Friday 28th Sept at 3:15-4pm in Mawhero. Please bring a small plate for afternoon tea to share.

Lost, Found and Left Lying Around

  • Please check the name label in the fleece your child is wearing to make sure it belongs to them.  If they have accidentally worn another student's fleece home, please return it to the office asap before Friday  
  • Students are to take all their clothing/uniform items home with them at the end of term.  Any un-named items left in the lost property bins/hubs will be donated to charity if not claimed by Friday
  • Un-named size 6 fleece left at Kelly Club Before School Care this week.  Likely to belong to a boy based on the socks in the pockets (a named fleece was taken instead) - please contact/collect from the office
