Kua tae te wā - It's time: Upcoming Strike - Weds, 15 August

Many of you will be aware that NZEI, the national union of primary teachers, has voted overwhelmingly to commit to a day of action, a strike, on Wednesday 15th August. This has very recently been altered to a full day’s strike instead of half a day. Our Board of Trustees will be communicating very soon about what this means for Amesbury School.

In the meantime, Amesbury teachers would like to invite you to join us for a hot drink and a chat about the upcoming action this Friday (3rd August) at 3:10pm, in the library. If you have any questions about this action or you would simply like to find out more about it, please come along and join us.

Inspire Photography - school photos

Don't forget ... school photos are scheduled for next Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th August.

Mini Book Week

Wow, there is always so many exciting things going on at Amesbury. In Week 4, 13-17 August we will be having a Mini Book Week and on Thursday 16 August there will be a dress up day where you can dress up as your favourite book or film character. Can't wait!

We would also love to have a lunchtime reading session of books from different languages. If you would like to come along on Monday 13th August and read a favourite childrens' story in a different language, please email library@amesbury.school.nz
