Reminder to be mindful of strangers around the local area

By Urs Cunningham | Posted: Wednesday June 7, 2017

At school today we had an incident involving a stranger driving onsite into the car park and attempting to take photos of students in a PE session.

Students in the session reacted very quickly and loudly alerted the teacher to the man. Their sensible reaction caused him to drive off quickly.  The police were informed and information passed on. The police responded very quickly and will keep in touch with the school about this.

Teachers have talked with students in all three hubs about being mindful of strangers around the local area, and how they can keep themselves safe by moving away immediately and alerting any adults they know close by straight away.

The police will remain vigilant, as will staff at school. Please feel free to contact the staff at the school if you see anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Warm regards,

The Amesbury team
