On a very overcast, chilly and rainy morning, three bus loads of very excited year 4 - 6 students boarded the bus for the journey to Karori pool for our Swimming Sport event.
Despite not being able to have our swimming lessons this year, our students were very excited to participate. The students eagerly took part in the races they had opted in for. There was a great atmosphere with students and parents cheering the swimmers on. It was definitely a team effort.
A highlight of the day was surely Jiya who claimed the 1st place for all the events he took part in. He dived in, and sped through the pool like a fish. It was quite an impressive performance. Ka pai (Well done) Jiya.

The Northern Zone team will be announced as soon as parents have confirmed that they would like to have students registered - communications to qualifying students' parents have already gone out.
The Northern Zone Event will take place on the 10th of September at Kilbirnie Aquatic Centre.
